Artist: Martin Boyle The peacock, in all its full-feathered glory, is the ultimate symbol of pride and reflects the power and glory of Rock and Roll. This guitar, with its bejeweled plumage and vibrant blues and greens, is the artist's rendition of the proud heritage of Rock and Roll. Guitar Mania, a public art project in Cleveland, featured 10 foot high decorated fiberglass replicas of Fender Stratocaster guitars, designed and painted by celebrities and artists. The project was a collaboration between the United Way and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After the exhibition, the guitars were auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting these charities.
