From the Guitar Mania collection. Guitar figurine titled Music's Sentry. Made of resin. Measures 10.5" tall. This brilliantly animated guitar sculpture is completely enveloped by a dragon passionately watching over music as he strums the guitar. The tail, arms and head have been designed with pipe armatures with plaster casting bandage forming them. The wings have been constructed with pipe and window screening decorated with a gesso texture. Irene Sukle is the creative genius behind this piece entitled Music's Sentry. Sponsor: Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Guitar Mania, a public art project in Cleveland, featured 10 foot high decorated fiberglass replicas of Fender Stratocaster guitars, designed and painted by celebrities and artists. The project was a collaboration between the United Way and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After the exhibition, the guitars were auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting these charities.
