Artists: Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley The psychedelic phenomenon spawned in San Francisco in the 60's changed the world. Stanley Mouse and Alton kelley were the premier artists of the decade, creating timeless images advertising the dance hall happenings at the Avalon and Fillmore Ballrooms. For The Grateful Dead, Stanley and Alton created the timeless rock and roll icon, "Skull and Roses." Guitar Mania, a public art project in Cleveland, featured 10 foot high decorated fiberglass replicas of Fender Stratocaster guitars, designed and painted by celebrities and artists. The project was a collaboration between the United Way and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. After the exhibition, the guitars were auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting these charities.
